MEMBER SERVICES

Sister Cities International works with hundreds of communities around the United States to help volunteers and members organize, build, and manage their programs.

We offer member services in four different areas: communications, connecting with the network, governance and policy, and our Cities Seeking Cities Program.

COMMUNICATIONS

We offer a variety of communications services to our members, including promoting sister city programs, exchanges, and events. We also offer crisis communications services to help you in times of controversy.

CITY CONNECTION MARKETPLACE

The City Connection Marketplace provides members with a more hands-on, proactive approach in establishing new sister city, county, or state partnerships through the help of our staff in Washington D.C.

CONNECT WITH OUR NETWORK

Our greatest resource is our network of thousands of peers not only dedicated to citizen diplomacy, but who have the credentials and knowledge you need to strengthen your program. We can provide peer-to-peer learning and cooperation with other sister cities organizations, access to the Diplomatic Corps, and publicity in our Annual Report and Membership Directory.

GOVERNANCE AND POLICY

In our network, there is no such thing as “one size fits all.” Programs range in size, partnerships, sectors, countries, and more—which can present unique obstacles when it comes to governance. We can help you establish an internal structure that suits the needs of your program and takes advantage of your community’s resources through bylaws and policy guidance.
